2015年8月30日被告中華民國馬英九政府委任律師CORCORAN答辯原告律師CAMP答辯書主張(即中華民國馬政府主張):「中華民國並未使得台灣島島民喪失其原有日本帝國國籍﹐而是只是賦予中華民國國民身份而已。」顯然係中華民國承認本土島民具有日本國籍﹗so the ROC admits the Plaintiffs still have Japanese nationality: " there has been no denationalization “無論如何本案不牽涉喪失國籍﹐因無喪失原有國籍﹐只有給予/賦予國籍而已…" in any event the tort does not apply here because there has been no denationalization but instead a conferring of nationality."
